Cardio Kickboxing

Cardio Kickboxing is offered to anyone looking for a low to medium impact workout. The class is offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00pm. When you throw punches with weights or at a fast pace, you're working your core in a way that helps to flatten your midsection.  You must engage your core to throw punches, and twisting your torso works all the ab muscles.  Boxing also gives you a cardio workout that burns extra calories.  Add 16 minutes of boxing three times a week to your regular cardio routine and you can lose up to 2 inches from your waist in four weeks.  Simply throw punches while holding 1 or 2 pound weights for 8 minutes, alternating arms, then repeat without weights at a faster pace for 8 more minutes.  This high intensity workout can burn 480 to 720 calories per class.

Woman’s Self Defense

Periodically Sensei will offer a self defense class series just for women that will focus on gun and knife self defense, pressure points, newspaper, rope self defense and how to use the kobuton. Check back regularly on our events page for offering on Women’s self defense.   

 Pressure Points Class

This class is offered on a regular basis by Sensei on different pressure point techniques. Sensei specilizes in the kyushu pressure points system and also demonstates how they apply to the different Uechi katas. He also focuses on high impact pressure point techniques as well as time on target strikes.

Birthday Parties  

Ever wanted to have a karate themed birthday party? TOK would like to be a part of your child's birthday.  We offer a one and a half hour party which includes a half hour karate class, half hour of cake, snacks and pizza, and a half hour of exciting games! TOK will also supply the setup, ice cream, pizza, and drinks, instructors, and clean up afterwards. A TOK party only costs $199 dollars for the first 8 kids and $7 dollars for each additional guest.
